Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing fathers.
Father’s Day is coming up, and while it is a celebration for most, it is also a day of heightened grief for those who have lost their fathers or have complicated relationships with their fathers.
Give me about 4 minutes of your time, and take a look at this clip of an interview I recently did in my hometown about coping with tough holidays: https://www.deltanews.tv/lifestyles/conversations-with-candi/coping-with-tough-holidays/article_3fef1e01-d375-4a39-8a6c-4cff6d3d60ca.html.

I’m sending love and light to those who are missing their fathers at this time. Bask in the cherished memories. If you are feeling resentment and frustration regarding an absent father, allow yourself to feel every single emotion. Let people know if you need time to yourself, and most importantly, be kind to yourself.
Also, if your father is absent, please remember to still celebrate the father figures around you! Maybe you have an “Uncle Phil”, a coach, a church member, a mentor, or any other male who has shown you love and taught you valuable lessons about life.
Okay, that is all I have for today! Don’t stay away too long.
As always, thank you for spending time with me today.
Sending you all the love you can stand,
Dr. E
